Word Of The Day: Loquacious

characterized by excessive talk; wordy: easily the most loquacious play of the season.

the offspring of an English teacher who talks too much: ever since I taught them to use words, my children are certainly loquacious!

Lucy: Yes, that's right.
Ariel: And you a girl, Mama.
Lucy: I am.
Ariel: NiNi a girl.
Lucy: Uh-huh, Nessie's a girl.
Ariel: Daddy a boy.
Lucy: Yes. What about Michael (our Teenager)? Is he a boy or a girl?
Ariel: He a boy. Poor Michael.
Lucy: Poor Michael! Why is he poor?
Ariel: Well, he not a girl.
Lucy: What about Daddy, then? Are you sorry for Daddy that he's not a girl?
Ariel: Daddy...you a boy. I sorry.

    Side note, my word of the day was "fard". It means fascial cosmetics. Really? It seems so wrong.

  4. Oh, so sweet! I love reading conversations like that. :) My husband is the loquacious one in our family. Really...sometimes he could talk for HOURS! And then he wonders why our children are so noisy. ;)
